Pistons & Pumps!
A few more bits for the engine, crossheads, pistons and rings, and the crankshaft driven water pump.
The piston rings were specified as soft packing but decided to make ptfe rings. There is a great description on how to make them on the model engineering website. The water pump uses a gear train from the crankshaft. I purchased the gears from HPC, I was going to make them but having priced the cutters for a one off it was cheaper to buy them.
Its all a bit fiddly to fit everything into the crankcase and thats before the Joy valve gear goes in there!
