Grate and Ashpan
The grate was a repurposed drain cover, it needed reducing in diameter by 0.300". `i made a fixture out of a piece of scrap aluminium, drilled and tapped 6BA to allow the grate to secured to it. I then dialled it it on the 4 jaw and reduced the diamete to 4"
The ashpan was fabricated from 1.5mm steel sheet. the edge was gas welded to the base. The holes in the circumference allow air flow for the fire. The ashpan can also be lowered to increase air flow.
