Front spring removed. You can see the three retaining rods in place holding the spring compressed.

I have removed the spring so that I can clean and seal the under wing area and also to probably replace the spring as the car is sat low at this corner.


















Here you can see the shock absorber retaining nut not fitted correctly. Another one of Don's bodges. I have a new set of shocks to fit. They are peculiar to Rover P6s as they work in the opposite direction to normal. As the suspension moves up the shocker extends. They are getting quite hard to source now.



















Yet another bodge!!

Rather than compress the shock mounting rubber correctly, the slack was taken up a bit by the addition of a conduit back nut!!There are 2 holes in the pin. The first for the special tool and the second for the split pin.

It will be put back correctly.
